🏝️ What’s a First Mate?
First Mates are trained sitters who can accompany your children on special outings during a scheduled session.

All sitters are CPR + Water Safety Certified

Approved adventures may include walks to the park, local attractions, or parent-approved pool time

Sitters do not provide transportation — all locations must be within safe walking distance or arranged by the family

The add-on fee depends on the session length

Cost is split if using Family Share

Independent First Mates Care (no parents present) is only available for families booking 5+ sessions. Must be pre-approved.

⏰ Late Booking Fees
We require bookings 48+ hours in advance; however, we will take last-minute bookings if needed.
❗ HOLIDAY PRICING
Major holidays (Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day) are subject to an additional $10–$15/hr surcharge due to limited sitter availability.

🏖️ Payment is required before a sitter is assigned. Once payment is received, we will confirm and introduce your sitter.

(applies to all locations)

🐬 30+ Days Before Session → 75% refund (minus 2-hour admin fee)

🐠 15–29 Days Before Session → 50% refund (minus 2-hour admin fee)

🐡 8–14 Days Before Session → 25% refund (minus 2-hour admin fee)

🚫 7 Days or Less Before Session → No refund
⚓ Last-Minute Bookings: Any reservations made within the same week of the session are non-refundable once confirmed.
✅ Agency Guarantee: If Blue Harbor Babysitting Co. cannot place a sitter for your confirmed booking, you will receive a 100% refund issued immediately.
📄 A full-service agreement will be signed at initial sign-up.
Refunds apply only to unused hours. Once a sitter is assigned, their time is reserved and subject to this policy.
