Terms & Conditions of Service

Serving New Jersey & Florida Coastal Locations
By booking services with Blue Harbor Babysitting Co. (“Agency”), the Client agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Our Services
Blue Harbor Babysitting Co. provides session-based childcare for families traveling, vacationing, or residing in coastal locations.
All caregivers are:
-
W-2 employees
-
Background checked
-
CPR & water safety certified
Care is provided in:
-
Vacation homes
-
Hotels & resorts
-
Airbnb & rental properties
-
Beaches and approved public locations
The Agency retains full discretion over caregiver assignment, staffing, and service delivery.
2. Booking & Confirmation
All bookings are considered requests until a caregiver is assigned.
Once assigned:
-
The session is confirmed
-
Payment is processed
-
The caregiver’s time is fully reserved
Families do not pay caregivers directly.
3. Session Structure
Sessions are offered in:
-
4 Hours (Classic)
-
6 Hours (Half Day)
-
8 Hours (Full Day)
Additional time is billed as overtime.
4. Pricing & Additional Fees
Additional charges may include:
-
Overtime: $40/hour (15-minute increments)
-
Holiday rates
-
Rush booking fee (within 24 hours)
-
Multi-family or group care adjustments
Pricing may vary based on:
-
Number of children
-
Location
-
Demand
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Once a caregiver is assigned, the following applies:
-
30+ days before session: 100% refund
-
15–30 days before session: 75% refund
-
3–15 days before session: 25% refund
-
Less than 72 hours: non-refundable
Rush fees are non-refundable.
Shortened sessions or early returns do not reduce cost.
If the Agency cannot fulfill a confirmed booking and cannot provide a suitable replacement, a full refund will be issued.
6. Why This Policy Exists
Once a caregiver is assigned, that time is:

Fully reserved for your family

Removed from availability for other families
Because our caregivers are W-2 employees, we are responsible for paying them for that scheduled time — even if plans change.
This structure allows us to provide reliable, professional childcare during high-demand vacation periods.
7. Communication & App Use
All communication must occur through our platform or app.
Clients agree to:

Maintain communication through the system

Not exchange personal contact information
-
Not coordinate care outside the Agency
8. Location & Meeting Policy
-
Hotels: Meet in the main lobby (room number required)
-
Airbnbs / Rentals: Meet outside or at entrance
-
Private homes: Meet at front entrance
Clients must be present at start time.
We reserve the right to verify and decline unsafe locations.
9. Beach & Water Safety
Our caregivers are water safety trained but are not lifeguards.
For beach or pool care:
-
Children must be supervised within safe conditions
-
Lifeguards must be present where required
-
Parents must disclose swimming ability
We may modify or restrict water activities for safety.
10. Transportation Policy
Caregivers do not:
-
Drive children
-
Ride in vehicles
All care remains within the approved location unless pre-approved.
11. Activities & Expenses
For outings (boardwalks, parks, etc.):
Clients must provide:

Tickets
-
Food
-
Parking
-
Activity costs
Caregivers are not expected to pay for any expenses.
12. Events & Beach Days
For events or extended sessions:
-
Families must provide a meal for caregivers
For beach days:
-
Families provide safe setup for children
-
Caregivers may bring their own supplies
13. Safety & Disclosures
Clients must disclose:
-
Medical needs
-
Allergies
-
Behavioral concerns
-
Pets
-
Additional adults present
Failure to disclose may result in termination without refund.
14. Behavioral & Pet Policy

Aggressive behavior must be disclosed
-
Unsafe environments may result in immediate termination
Pets must be non-aggressive and contained.
15. Care Model
We operate a team-based model.

Specific caregivers are not guaranteed
-
We prioritize consistency when possible
-
Bookings may not be canceled due to sitter preference
16. Non-Solicitation
Clients may not hire or engage caregivers outside the Agency.
Violations may result in:

Fees
-
Termination of services
17. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to terminate services without refund due to:

Safety concerns
-
Policy violations
-
Inappropriate behavior
18. Force Majeure & Weather
We are not responsible for cancellations due to:

Weather
-
Travel delays
-
Emergencies
Standard cancellation terms apply.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Agency is not responsible for:

Injuries not caused by caregiver negligence

Property damage
-
Third-party actions
-
Undisclosed conditions
20. Acceptance of Terms
By booking services, you acknowledge and agree to all terms outlined above.
